Benign Breast Surgery
A breast biopsy is a test that removes tissue or cells from the breast so that it can be examined further by a pathologist.
Duct excision is usually performed for nipple discharge. This is usually reserved for cases where a lesion is found or the nature of the discharge is suspicious.
Removing a breast lump may be indicated if it is causing you symptoms or if there are any worrying features of the lump that means removal is recommended.
Breast reduction is also known as reduction mammaplasty. It is a surgical procedure that reduces the size of overly large breasts (macromastia).
